Childcare Center within the NWDC

A Space Where Opportunity Grows

The Northland Workforce Development Center (NWDC) is leading a bold initiative to meet a critical need in our region - access to high quality, affordable healthcare. We are planning a 5,500-square-foot, $3.4 million childcare facility designed to support:

  • Educators who need reliable care for their young children during the school day.
  • Adult students attending evening and/or weekend certification and skills classes who cannot afford childcare but are determined to build a better future.

Why This Matters

Our Vision for the space

Our Vision for the space

Every year, countless capable individuals are forced to put their education and career goals on hold because they lack

access to affordable, flexible childcare. This space will support a strategy to remove that barrier — helping parents stay in training, complete certifications, and enter high-demand fields with confidence. When parents can learn, families can thrive.

When families thrive, communities grow.
